Ian and Friends

Ian has been a professional puppeteer for over 30 years. During that time he has been doing shows in theatres and on television, network and cable.

He has appeared, or rather his work has been seen, on:

TV programmes like the Morecambe and Wise TV specials, Orm and Cheep; The Dave Allen Show, and in many Spitting Image specials and adverts.
He worked with The Muppets on Fraggle Rock and on several television specials.
Also the movies Labyrinth, Little Shop Of Horrors, The Adventures Of Baron Munchausen, The Muppet Xmas Carol, and The Muppet Treasure Island.

Ian and Friends Cabaret has been seen in London at the Eve Club, Duke Of Yorks Theatre, Hackney Empire and Brick Lane Music Hall. He has worked on sixteen cruise ships, including the Cunard Princess (twice) and Vistafiord (twice), The Hapag -Lloyd ship MS. Europa, The Song Of Norway, M.V. La Palma, Mts. Daphne, Nippon Maru. The act has also been seen at Butlins and HIilton Hotels, The Pennsylvania Hotel New York, and the Dorchester London. A run of 260 shows at Blackpool Pleasure Beach - Europes largest amusement park, at The Barbican for The Magic Circle (twice), The Covent Garden Magic Festival, Battersea Arts Centre, and The Royal College Of Music, The Players Theatre, London, a Xmas/New Year season at Michael's Club, Albufeira, Portugal, and Eight Hotel/Theatre seasons in Lisbon, Portugal. Work in South East Asia includes British Embassy, Bangkok and the Bangkok Playhouse, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 3 months in Shanghai doing cabaret in a French cabaret restaurant, and Singapore Zoo.

The Rabbit Redford Show (see left), is a one man children's show with magic as its theme. Redford the Magic Rabbit, member of the IBM (International Bunny Magicians), is an attractive, lovable and cuddly character with lots to say, except that he doesn't speak 'people'. so Ian has to translate. A show suitable for studios and venues up to 200 people.
